 Mumbai local will not be functioning for common people who are not included in essential service till 30th august because of the prevailing risk of 3rd wave of coronavirus which is expected to hit by mid august.

Only people included in essential services, people having medical emergency and those who want to go to vaccination center can only travel in the local train. Common people and office goers still need to wait one more month to travel through local.

Amid rising protest against keeping the local train at halt for general public there is news coming from chief minister of Maharashtra that local trains shall start functioning for all the people who have completed both rounds of vaccination from next month. 

Media people and journalist are demanding the government of Maharashtra to include them in essential service category and allow them the access to local train since media play a vital role in creating awareness among people so their work should not stop. But still there is no such clarification from the government regarding this topic and decision is still pending.
